Indications for use

Infectious diseases caused by susceptible to doxycycline pathogens.
To prevent the development of resistance and maintain effectiveness, the drug should be used only to treat infections caused by proven (or presumably) susceptible to doxycycline microorganisms. In the presence of information on the identified pathogen and its sensitivity to antibiotics, the physician is guided by it to select the optimal antibiotic, and in the absence of such an empirical choice of an antibacterial agent is performed on the basis of local epidemiological data and sensitivity data.

Doxycycline is indicated for the treatment of the following infections:

• Spotted fever in the rocky mountains, typhus and other typhus, Ku-fever, vesicular rickettsiosis and tick-borne fevers caused by rickettsia;
• respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasmapneumoniae;
• venereal lymphogranulomatosis caused by Chlamydiatrachomatis;
• psittacosis caused by Chlamydiapsittaci;
• trachoma caused by Chlamydiatrachomatis, although it is not always possible to achieve excision of the pathogen, as evidenced by the results of immunofluorescence studies;
• conjunctivitis with inclusions caused by Chlamydiatrachomatis, doxycycline can be. Use orally in the form of monotherapy or in combination with topical preparations;
• undeveloped urethral, endocervical and rectal infections caused by Chlamydiatrachomatis in adults;
